The Bachelor’s Hannah Ann saw a ‘red flag’ when Peter Weber needed ‘closure’ with ex Hannah Brown

She won his final rose and an engagement on the popular dating show, but the relationship ended in heartbreak.

And Hannah Ann Sluss admitted she was a ‘red flag’ when Peter Weber insisted on finding ‘closure’ with his ex and former Bachelorette contestant, Hannah Brown.

The 23-year-old revealed on Wednesday’s Bachelor Happy Hour podcast that she wasn’t comfortable with her then-fiance’s request for more communication with a past lover. 

‘That was the first red flag,’ she said. ‘I was questioning my own self because he was trying to convince me that it was something that he needed. And I’m like, “I just don’t quite feel settled with that.”‘

Sluss and Weber were engaged during a romantic trip to Australia, all of which was filmed for the ABC program.

Brown’s history with Weber didn’t sit well with Hannah Ann after watching the former couple detail their sexual escapades in a windmill on The Bachelorette, followed by Brown’s shocking appearance on The Bachelor after she dumped fiance Jed Wyatt for having a secret girlfriend back home.

In the first episode of Weber’s season, Brown broke into tears and told Peter: ‘I don’t know what I did.’ 

While Brown wasn’t chosen to remain on the show, Weber followed up with his ex post picking Hannah Ann.

‘He was trying to convince me that I should feel comfortable with that,’ Sluss said. ‘We’re engaged! I wasn’t on a group date with him and Hannah Brown. I had not seen that episode of them all cozy-cozy, up in a couch, and her crying and possibly coming back. 

‘I had no idea! Like none! And so when he brought that up, I’m like, “Wait, what? I know she came back in the season, but can you explain more?”

Around that time is when Brown’s episode aired, and Hannah Ann had even more questions for the pilot. 

‘That was kind of when that episode was coming out. And I’m like, “Why should I feel comfortable with this? You don’t seem like you’re ready for any kind of commitment, let alone an engagement.”‘

Sluss  — who starred in Chris Lane’s music video for I Don’t Know About You — was finally able to confront Peter about his actions during Tuesday night’s After the Final Rose show, where he publicly revealed he was in a relationship with Madison Prewett. 

‘We’ve been through a lot together and I should have really picked up on the first red flag that you gave to me, was when you wanted to reach out to Hannah Brown to find closure with her,’ Sluss said. ‘So really, looking back at it, our engagement involved three women. Me, you still being in love with Madison and proposing to me and you needing closure with Hanna Brown. That’s three women involved in our engagement that I was completely blindsided to.

‘Word of advice: if you want to be with a woman, you need to become a real man.’ 

Hannah Ann had no qualms throwing a little shade Peter’s way with an Instagram post captioned: ‘Flyin’ solo… no turbulence accepted. PERIOD.’
