Jessie James Decker lost 25lbs a year ago thanks to her sensible diet.

And the South Beach Diet Ambassador has manged to keep the weight off, which she proved this week during a photo shoot on the beach. The 31-year-old wife of former football player Eric Decker – with whom she shares three children – slipped into a black one-piece swimsuit while running on the shore.

‘I’m ready for short shorts, tank tops, rompers and swimsuits!’ the beauty said during her shoot.

It was over one year ago that Decker lost 25lbs thanks to her new diet. And Jesse has said it has not been difficult as she likes the plan.

‘As far as diet is concerned, I’ve always followed the principles of the South Beach Diet,’ said the star.

‘I have found that it is the best for my body and for my lifestyle. I know I need protein and good fats and lots of veggies, but sometimes I get off track just like everyone else.

‘Whenever I need a jump start or feel a plateau, I turn to South Beach Diet. I’m not one of those people that gets behind something I don’t believe in. It really works.’

And Jesse works out frequently, usually about four times a week.

‘It is a quick workout, whether it’s at home, at the gym or with a trainer, I usually do about 45 minutes of circuit training,’ said the Lights Down Low singer.

‘It needs to be high intensity. I really like heavy weights because I feel like my body needs that and I love feeling strong.

‘They say summer bodies are made in the winter and I’ve certainly been following that mantra!’

And now she has been practicing yoga.

The blonde beauty even pulled out some of her favorite poses for the photo shoot.

‘I have always loved targeting areas to sculpt and I’ve realized that yoga maximizes my workouts,’ said the star who was born in Italy.

‘It’s increased my flexibility and improved my muscle tone. Not to mention, it helps with mental focus and just helps me clear my head.’

Decker had a busy winter and is looking forward to warmer weather.

‘It’s no secret how much I love sunshine! Nashville can get pretty gloomy in the winter, so Eric, the kids and I are itching to get outside and play!’ said Jessie.

She has daughter Vivianne Rose, aged five, and sons Eric Decker II, aged four, and Forrest, aged one, with her husband Eric.

‘I’ve been so busy lately with new music, a new book, Kittenish and everything else, so I’ve been lucky to have the convenience of South Beach Diet to help keep my diet on track. Bring on summer and those salty kisses!’ added the cover girl.
