‘You’ve just broken our table!’ Alex Jones playfully scolds Paddy McGuinness after he accidentally destroys The One Show set

Paddy McGuinness’ appearance on The One Show descended in chaos on Wednesday after he accidentally broke a coffee table.

The comedian, 46, was on the show to promote Top Gear but his interview was quickly scuppered when he kicked the table, causing a piece of curved perspex to snap off.

Paddy left hosts Alex Jones, 42, and Matt Baker, 42, in stitches as he then went on to reveal the flimsy plastic was held together by cellotape before pulling off another piece.

Paddy went on to explain his latest challenge for the show saw him and Freddie Flintoff locked in cars for 24 hours as they drove around Bolton.

The co-hosts were seen taking on the challenge over the weekend, filming the segment with a crew for the BBC motoring series.

Comedian Paddy and ex-cricketer Freddie, 42, were seen hanging out of their respective cars, each brandishing a plastic bottle full of urine.

The scenes are expected to air in the next season of the show, which is not likely to hit screens until 2021.

Season 28 concluded last Sunday on BBC Two, which is the final time the show will air on that network.

It was recently announced that the series had been upgraded to air on BBC One as of season 29.
