Sylvester Stallone goes gloves-on for a coronavirus knock out while bagging his groceries at Whole Foods

Sylvester Stallone put on a strong battle in the name of hygiene while bagging his groceries on Monday.

The 73-year-old actor was spotted bagging his own groceries at a Whole Foods in Beverly Hills while decked out in latex gloves.

He was presumably being extra cautious amid the current coronavirus spread.

Gloves on: Sylvester Stallone, 73, went all out in his battle for hygiene as  he put on latex gloves to bag his groceries at a Whole Foods in Beverly Hills on Monday

Stallone was dressed anonymously in a black jacket, black jeans and matching black trainers.

He also sported the mostly white beard he’s worn in recent weeks while filming the superhero movie Samaritan.

Sly appeared to be stocking up on plenty of healthy organic food, and he did his best to keep himself healthy by putting on a pair of white latex gloves.

He joins a number of celebrities who’ve been cautious while out and about amid coronavirus fears, though many of them have been seen wearing masks rather than gloves.

Gloves can help prevent the spread of viruses and bacteria, but it’s important to change them regularly and not touch your face with dirty gloves, otherwise the benefits disappear.

While the Rocky star was doling out a beatdown on behalf of cleanliness on Monday, he looked as if he got beat up himself last month.

Stallone shared a photo from the set of his upcoming film Samaritan in which he was bleeding profusely from a cut over his nose and had a seriously swollen eye.

However, there wasn’t any pain since his injuries were all the result of movie magic and realistic makeup effects.

The movie follows a young boy who suspects that a man (presumably Stallone) might be a once-famous superhero who disappeared 20 years earlier in the wake of a dramatic battle.

It’s his first acting role since his critically reviled movie Rambo: Last Blood, which was released in September.

Though he’s directed multiple films, he hasn’t stepped behind the camera since 2010’s The Expendables.

Stallone appeared to be shopping on his own Monday, without his wife Jennifer Flavin, whom he married in 1997.

The couple share three children, Sophia, 23, Sistine, 21, and Scarlet, 17.

He also shares a son, Seargeoh, 41, with his first wife Sasha Czack. Their younger son Sage Stallone died in 2012 at age 36.
