How radio star Jackie ‘O’ Henderson transformed an old suburban art deco bungalow into a breathtaking $6.5M Georgian-style Sydney mansion
Radio star Jackie ‘O’ Henderson just put her Vaucluse mansion on the market for a whopping $6.5million.
But now, photographs have emerged of the home before the radio star spent $2 million transforming it into a lavish Georgian-style mansion.
In an interview published in the Wentworth Courier, Jackie’s ex-husband Lee explained it was basically a knockdown rebuild.

‘Jackie in her mind wanted a classic Georgian cottage with a picket fence, so we tried to do that without being too cheesy,’ Lee said.
‘And with me being English, I wanted the big French doors so we’ve ended up with a melding of those two things.’
The high-profile couple purchased the home in 2012, as a single-level cottage built in the 1930s, which had a small second-level extension.

Photographer Lee and Jackie, 45, then went about transforming the property, including a dramatic change to the both facades.
The facade was changed from an art deco style bungalow into a grand Georgian mansion, with shutters on the windows.
The back of the home features three French doors opening to a terrace, which offer sweeping views of Sydney Harbour.

The upstairs layout was completely changed to allow for four large bedrooms, which includes a north facing master suite.
The bathroom was transformed into an opulent space, full of marble. The Vaucluse home now boasts five bedrooms, three bathrooms and a white picket fence.
Lee said of the renovation: ‘Every handle, every door, from the architraves to the cornices — everything was chosen by us … everything’s very personal!’

It comes amid talk that around 200 people flocked to the first open inspection of the home, according to The Sunday Telegraph.
Jackie was nowhere to be seen as potential buyers had a poke around her personal space and belongings, ahead of its scheduled auction on March 31.
The radio star moved out of the house in 2018 following her split from husband Lee, who has continued living there since the separation.

Lee was spotted ‘doing some last minute garden work’ before the open inspection.
It is unclear why Jackie, who shares nine-year-old daughter Kitty with Lee, is only now listing the house for sale.
She has spent the past year living in a rented apartment in Bondi Beach.
