  • Guards then kept them inside the store and closed the doors, causing the girls to lash out at the glass doors

This is the shocking moment three young women caused chaos by attacking security staff in a Lidl supermarket after allegedly being caught shoplifting – bringing the entire shop to a standstill.

In the footage, the screaming girls are seen violently hurling shopping baskets at security guards and kicking the glass windows down to get out of the store.

The incident took place at the Lidl supermarket in West Croydon, south London and is believed to have been filmed on Saturday, March 7.

Customers watch in astonishment and disbelief as several burly employees grapple with the young suspected shoplifters and struggle to restrain them as they desperately try to make a getaway.

At the start of the clip, the female youths are seen throwing shopping baskets at supermarket employees after allegedly being caught shoplifting.

The entire store has been brought to a standstill by the mayhem. Customer can be heard gasping in disbelief as they film the violent scenes.

Shortly afterwards, several security guards are seen grappling with the shrieking trio and one worker drags one of them by the neck of her jacket back into the store.

One of the other suspected shoplifters is also dragged back into the store after trying to make a getaway. She yells ‘Don’t f***ing touch me!’ as staff try to restrain her.

The third female is seen in the background wrestling with another security guard and trying to pry the supermarket doors open to escape.

The young women are then seen arguing with the supermarket employees as they are locked inside the store. They start violently kicking a door, trying to smash the glass so they can make a getaway.

The three women repeatedly kick the windows screaming ‘F***ing open the door!’ as the entire store is locked inside and staff seemingly wait for police to arrive.

It is unknown who filmed the footage however the clip has been widely shared online since this morning.

At the end of the clip, one of the women appears to be led away by a police officer towards his blue-lighted car.
