Lauren Goodger has vowed to give up drinking after a recent hangover brought back memories of her nightmare Boxing Day hospitalisation.

The TV personality admitted she was suffering after a night of boozy excess left her in a state of inner-turmoil on Sunday morning, prompting her to consider giving up alcohol and returning to the gym.

Addressing Instagram followers, Lauren, 33, claimed the unfortunate after-effects of her night out were not unlike the symptoms that led to her needing medical attention in December.

She told fans: ‘My anxiety has been literally awful today like how I was at Christmas! So it means I am going have to go on strike again and stay in back to training and not drinking! Literally worst day ever.’ 

With her hangover keeping her behind closed doors, Lauren nursed herself back to normality with an enormous takeaway order while settling down to a night of TV. 

Sharing a series of Instagram stories, The former TOWIE star revealed an assortment of Indian curries and KFC bargain buckets ready to be washed down with a large bottle of soft drink. 

Captioning a snasp of hr takeaway laden coffee table, she wrote: ‘When the hangover is real.’

Lauren prompted concern in December by revealing she was in hospital, yet failed to specify the issue.

The previous day, Lauren appeared in good spirits and good health as she shared images from Christmas Day, which showed her having fun with her loved-ones.

However, things later went downhill when she shared a concerning message in which she claimed she ‘feels like I’m dying’, due to the ‘worst hangover.’

She wrote: ‘Never drink again… worst hangover to date… I feel like I’m dying.’

Shortly afterwards, she uploaded a snap from within an ambulance as she stated she was forced to call paramedics to her home.

Alongside the image, she wrote: ‘Under a lot of stress lately, had paramedics at mine now on way to hospital.. really not good way lately… I need a break’ [sic].

Lauren also shared a clip of her knees trembling beneath a hospital blanket, adding that she ‘can’t stop shaking’.

Though Lauren was clearly worried, she still managed to keep fans updated with glamorous snaps from her hospital bed, despite being hooked up to a drip  

The former Celebs Go Dating favourite later revealed that medics were keeping her in hospital overnight, sharing a picture of herself sitting in a wheelchair.

A spokesperson later confirmed she was ‘resting’ at home, telling MailOnline: ‘Lauren is out of hospital and resting. She will talk about what’s happened when she feels ready to.’
