‘I was always judging myself!’ Model Nikki Phillips reveals she suffered from body dysmorphia but grew to ‘fall in love with her body’ after giving birth

Model Nikki Phillips has revealed she suffered from body dysmorphia and anxiety over her appearance for years.

But on Sunday, the New Zealand-based beauty, 37, said becoming a mother helped her ‘fall in love with her body’.

‘I suffered major body dysmorphia and anxiety over my body for years. I grew up modelling around the globe and back then the body type was specific so you were always judging yourself,’ she told the Daily Telegraph.

‘To be honest, I don’t think I really really fell in love with my body until I had children! I became more knowledgeable and grateful of it.

‘My scars, cellulite, saggy skin are all reminded of life, growth and what it was capable of. I love my body for that.’

Nikki said being a mother has also forced her to be a lot more efficient with her beauty routine as she will often only have two minutes to get ready.

Nikki has two sons, Luca, who is almost one, and two-year-old Jett, who she shares with her musician husband Dane Rumble, 37.

She gave birth to Luca in March last year and got back into a workout routine just two weeks after.

The mother-of-two did at home workouts with YouTube tutorials while her children were sleeping to shed her baby weight.

Despite being busy with her children, Nikki still finds time to attend celebrity events.

Last month, she stood out in a striking red and white boiler jumpsuit and a pair bright red stilettos at the Magnum Luxe Launch in Sydney.

Nikki kept her accessories simple, opting for an always-fashionable pair of hoop earrings and a designer watch and bracelet

She competed her look with a high-bun, lashings of mascara and lick of glossy pink lipstick to make her lips pop.
