The 1995 comedy Clueless has transformed from a cult hit to one of the most celebrated teen movies of all time.

And now, in celebration of its 25th anniversary, the Amy Heckerling-directed classic, starring Alicia Silverstone, is heading back to theaters for a three day run in the spring.

Fathom Events and Paramount Pictures teamed up for the anniversary showings at about 700 theaters in North America May 3, May 4 and May 6, that includes a special pre-show presentation breaking down the film’s iconic slang that still lives on in American culture.

Released in July 1995, the film went on to become a sleeper hit, grossing more than $56 million during its theatrical run, all while receiving generally positive reviews from critics.

With a strong leaning on trend-setting fashions and quotable lingo, rabid fans latched on Cher Horowitz (Silverstone) and company, thus helping fuel it to be considerd among the best teen movies ever.

‘Whether you’re seeing it for the first or the hundredth time, Clueless remains one of the funniest and most charming movies — while never losing its satirical bite or wonderful view of the world as it existed 25 years ago,’ Fathom Events said in a statement.

‘We couldn’t be more delighted to bring it back to the big screen if Cher herself had asked us.’

Based on Jane Austen’s 1815 novel Emma, the story centered on Silverstone’s Cher Horowitz, a rich and beautiful high school student who sees herself as a matchmaker

Cher first coaxes two teachers into dating each other. Emboldened by her success, she decides to befriend style-less new student Tai Frasier (Brittany Murphy) and give her a makeover.

Eventually, when Tai becomes more popular than she is, Cher realizes that her disapproving ex-stepbrother, Josh Lucas (Paul Rudd), was right about how misguided she was — and falls for him.

Along with Silverstone, Murphy and Rudd, Clueless also stars Stacey Dash, Dan Hedaya, Elisa Donovan, Justin Walker, Wallace Shawn, Twink Caplan, Julie Brown, Donald Faison, Breckin Meyer, Jeremy Sisto, Nicole Bilderback and Sean Holland.
