Billie Eilish takes off surgical mask and hugs one lucky fan outside Miami International Airport

Nothing can stop Billie Eilish from getting close to her fans.

While the Bad Guy hitmaker may have been wearing a surgical mask to minimize her chance of catching any viruses while traveling, the 18-year-old popped it off to bond with one lucky fan on Sunday at Miami International Airport.

Before jumping into the back of a black SUV, the 5-time Grammy slipped into the loving embrace of a fan ahead of her performance.

The green-haired entertainer, who rocked her signature baggy style, didn’t seem wary of germs, as she posed for a picture with her arms tightly wrapped around one of her admirers.

While the Ocean Eyes songstress ditched her typically over-the-top style for an over-sized black hoodie with skeleton arms on the sleeves, she proved she is always one for grand gestures to make someone’s day a little brighter.

Three weeks ago, the teenager left her biggest fan Marissa in floods of tears by surprising her during an emotional Capital Radio interview by praising her singing voice.

In the touching interview, Billie snuck up behind her Marissa, who broke down upon seeing her idol.

In a clip of the surprise, Roman Kemp explained that Marissa was invited onto Capital Radio after her mother Jacqueline got in touch.

Marissa cares for her mother, who was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and became wheelchair bound.

During the interview, Marissa spoke about the day-to-day struggles of caring for her family, but unbeknownst to her Billie was listening backstage.

She explained: ‘Balancing out home life as a young carer, school life with GCSEs, social life, with my friends who aren’t going through the same thing as I am, they’re really understanding…

‘I have lovely friends but they don’t understand they’re not young carers so the’re not in my position they can’t relate to me but they can always be there to support me if I’m down but they’re never gonna know what it’s gonna be like in my shoes.’

Marissa then explains that Billie is one of her favorite singers, because she found her music to be a great comfort during the daily struggles of being a young carer.

She said: ‘She’s just really inspiring her music is the type of thing, whenever you’re down and depressed and you’ve had a long day just go to my room and lie down my bed, blast up the volume and – I don’t care if I go deaf – and just listen to her.

‘I’ve seen her interviews, and I know she’s had a tough life going into fame, we’re very different people and have very different lives but I can relate to her so much.

While she may be a household name, she’s also considered her fans more like friends than strangers.

‘I forget sometimes that they’re not literally my friends,’ she told Variety. ‘It’s weird, like, that’s probably the biggest con in it all: that people I’ve never met think I’m really close friends with them.’

She added: ‘And then they forget that I’m not, and sometimes say stuff at meet-and-greets or post things that are joking or sarcastic about how bad I look in [a certain] photo, and I’m like, wow, that’s so mean.’

Now she understands that ‘it’s just part of being friends’ and ‘really really’ doesn’t want that to change.
