Kate Garraway has revealed she will renew her wedding vows with husband Derek Draper later this year, but admits the ceremony is being planned by her teenage daughter.

The Good Morning Britain presenter was stunned when husband of fifteen-years Derek proposed to her for a second time following her appearance on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

But while the couple are keen to renew their vows, Kate, 52, admits the ceremony itself is shrouded in uncertainty due to her young daughter taking full responsibility for its finer details.

She told the April edition of Prima: ‘We’re going to have a second wedding and Darcey’s going to plan the whole thing. She’s 13, so it could be very interesting, but we’ll see.

‘I think she will probably want me to look like Kendall Jenner on the day which is going to be tough… I would love to look like Kendall Jenner as well, so good luck with that!’

The presenter, already a household name thanks to her daily appearances on GMB, won a new legion of younger fans during her stint in the Australian jungle.

Her popularity was owed in no small part to her various appearances in a skimpy bikini, and Kate insists age is no barrier when it comes to feeling physically confident.

She explained: ‘Getting older isn’t a reason to not feel sexy. I think whatever age you are, if you feel good in an outfit, or if you feel good in an outfit, or if you feel good generally, then it always comes across as attractive.

‘I think being comfortable is definitely the way to go and that gives you confidence to just enjoy life. It’s always sexier when people look like they’re having fun, whatever their age.’

Kate enjoyed a successful run on the nineteenth series of I’m A Celeb, finishing in ninth place before exiting to her surprise proposal from Derek.

And she believes her decision to sign up for the long-running show has been a life-changing experience that helped galvanise her personal life and boost her self-confidence.

‘My system has been given a massive jolt since being on the show,’ she explained. ‘I’ve been reminded of the important things, such as friends and family.

‘It made me realise that actually being a bit braver sometimes, and allowing myself to be a bit scared isn’t the end of the world.’

Having left the jungle, Kate is now determined to focus on her health and fitness – but she insists her decision to hit the gym has nothing to do with vanity.

She said: ‘I used to think of health and fitness in terms of looking slim and looking good – and I know that’s not a very cool thing to say. Now, I want to get really fit and toned but it’s much less to do with the way I look.

‘The jungle changed my perspective. I thought if I was stronger and fitter, I could be braver and do more things.’
