Ex-TOWIE star Lauren Goodger has been handed an £800 court bill and six penalty points after failing to name who was driving her car when it was caught speeding at 58mph.

Goodger’s black Mercedes SUV was spotted on a speed camera travelling at 58mph on the A13 Thames Gateway on August 24 last summer, heard Lavender Hill Magistrates’ Court.

The 33-year-old was charged with a criminal offence after refusing to identify the driver of her speeding car.

According to the Evening Standard, Colin Martin, a case worker for the Met Police, said: ‘A reminder letter was sent.

‘No response has been received.’

She was handed a £660 fine, £151 in court fees and six points on her driving licence.

Goodger was reportedly convicted in her absence on February 18, and given until Tuesday to settle the bill.

It follows the former TOWIE star returning from a trip to the salon in January to discover her £43,000 Mercedes had been clamped.

She was spotted returning to her Mercedes Coupe SUV to see it had been hit with a warning notice, but later clarified on Instagram it was an error and the clamp had since been been removed.

Onlookers said that the agent went into the salon to inform Lauren her car had been clamped, and she sent a pal to remove the notice.

Eventually it was clarified that the clamping was a mistake, and it was removed so Lauren could drive home, with the star confirming the mix-up on Instagram.

She wrote: ‘Only I could get me car mistaken for someone else’s and be clamped!!!! Happy Friday…

‘To the person always remember to pay your fines.’

MailOnline has contacted Goodger’s agent for comment.
