Christine McGuinness in tears after a ‘b****y hard’ morning caring for her three autistic children

Christine McGuinness broke down in tears during an emotional Instagram post on Friday, after a difficult morning caring for her three autistic children.

The wife of presenter Paddy McGuinness, 31, told fans that she wanted to show it’s not always ‘fine and lovely’ looking after children with autism, and insisted they’re still doing ‘brilliant’ despite a rocky start to the day.

Christine and Paddy have spoken openly about being parents to their three children Leo and Penelope, six, and Felicity, three, who have all been diagnosed with autism.

It seemed that Christine was treated to a slap-up lunch by her husband, as she took to Instagram to share a loved-up selfie with the caption: ‘That’s better! Thank you all so much for your lovely DMs today.

‘Sometimes my heart breaks a little bit for my babies but they mend it very quickly! I’m so lucky to have you all supporting us on here, thank you.’

It comes after Christine emotionally revealed she has no one to talk to after she discovering that her youngest daughter, Felicity has autism three years after her twins were diagnosed.

Christine admitted that her ‘heart breaks for all her children’ but that Felicity and twins – Penelope and Leo, inspire her every day.

The model also revealed that Paddy found Felicity’s autism hard after he previously admitted that he is ‘never happy in himself’ since their twins were diagnosed.

Speaking to OK! Magazine, Christine said it was ‘heartbreaking’ but clarified that it didn’t mean Paddy wasn’t happy with her or the children.

She explained: ‘There’s no time for us as a couple, no quality time, no date nights. Not even time to have a laugh together.

‘We’re full-time carers and the kids come before everything. But we have to stay strong as a unit for our kids.’
