Will Smith rocks a retro look as he continues production on his new film King Richard in Los Angeles.

The 51 year-old actor was spotted on set, chatting with crew members between takes on Wednesday afternoon.

He wasn’t seen with any other cast members at this time as filming continued, ahead of its release on November 25.

Smith was wearing a white t-shirt under a white coat with red stripes, along with short red shorts and knee-high white socks with red stripes, matching his coat. 

He completed his look with white flat sneakers as he interacted with several crew members between takes.

Production has been under way since late January, though it’s unclear when filming will wrap and post-production will begin.

King Richard is based on the true story of Richard Williams, who, with little tennis experience, decided to raise his daughters Serena and Venus to become tennis champions.

After watching Virginia Ruzici win a tournament on television in 1980, Richard became determined to coach his daughters to tennis greatness.

He started coaching them when they were just four and a half years old, taking them to public tennis courts.

The Williams sisters, particularly Serena, would go on to become two of the most dominant tennis players of all time.

Venus was the first African-American woman to be ranked #1 atop the Women’s Tennis Association rankings in the Open Era and second all time after Althea Gibson.

Serena has 73 WTA singles titles with 39 Grand Slam titles over her illustrious career, with the highest earnings ($92.7 million) all time.

Smith has already had a successful year, with the third installment of his Bad Boys franchise, Bad Boys For Life, becoming an early hit at the box office.

Bad Boys For Life has already taken in $198.2 million domestic and $406.2 million worldwide, from just a $90 million budget. 

He is also attached to star in The Council, playing real-life gangster Nicky Barnes int he biopic.
