Holidaymakers are in for a scrumdiddlyumptious treat as children’s author Roald Dahl’s boyhood sweet shop is now an Airbnb.
Mrs Pratchett’s sweet shop was the inspiration behind his much-loved books including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Twits and Matilda.
It is also thought to be the location where Dahl put a dead mouse in a gobstopper – a scene described in his autobiography, Boy.

And the owners, the Lau family, even leave little sweet treats around the property for children staying there.
It sleeps 21 people, has four bathrooms and a ground floor that boasts an open plan kitchen diner area.
The newly renovated Airbnb, which was previously a Chinese takeaway, is described as a ‘home away from home’ in its listing.
One satisfied guest who stayed at the property said: ‘The house is very lovely. The kids loved the sleeping area and especially the chocolate Easter bunnies they found’

The description says: ‘[The house is] situated in a quaint village, which is home to Llandaff Cathedral, Llandaff Meadow and the river Taff, as well as a number of family run pubs, coffee shops, restaurants and shops.’
One satisfied guest who stayed at the property said: ‘The house is very lovely. We were three adults and four children between the ages of 18 months and seven years.
‘They loved the kids sleeping area and especially the chocolate Easter bunnies they found.
