Saturday Night Takeaway SPOILER: Craig David attempts to hire a house sitter

Craig David will be the latest victim of Ant and Dec’s hilarious I’m A Celebrity…Get Out Of Me Ear! on Saturday Night Takeaway.

In this weekend’s episode, the singer, 38, is tasked with looking for a house sitter, but must follow the host duo’s every instruction.

In a clip released from the hugely popular variety show, the Fill Me In chart-topper is seen meeting a potential house sitter at his luxury home.

‘So you’re going to be house sitting,’ Craig says before being asked what the job would actually involve.

Sat behind the mic in a control room, Ant tells Craig to get out his diary to go through his ‘daily routine’.

But as the 14-time BRIT nominee picks it up, he realises he has no idea what’s written down in it.

Dec then tells him to say word for word what is written down, hopefully without the unsuspecting house sitter realising it is a set up.

‘So I do a weekly wash on a Monday, the bins go out on Tuesday, I change the bedsheets on Wednesday,’ says Craig, appearing to notice something is strange.

He continues: ‘And then Thursday, and Friday, and Saturday, and I chill on Sunday’

The house sitter looks confused by the weird routine, as on the other end of the earpiece in Craig’s ear, Ant and Dec crack up in laughter.

The routine bares a striking similarity to the lyrics his Craig’s song 7 Days, which refers instead to him ‘making love’ on Wednesday through to Saturday before chilling on Sunday.

Ant and Dec, not content with stopping their, then order Craig to put the routine to a melody.

‘Let me sing it to you so you can get the vibe,’ says Craig, as the house sitter continues to look completely unamused.

Also on Saturday night’s show, Jax Jones and Ella Henderson will be live in the studio to open the episode with a bang, while the hosts face a dance battle in an epic End Of The Show Show with Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions winners Twist & Pulse.

Stephen Mulhern will also return for Ant vs Dec Goes Global, amd  one lucky audience member will play to Win The Ads.

Ant’s return to Saturday Night Takeaway had been much anticipated after the show took a hiatus last year in the wake of his drink-drive arrest.

The presenter took a break from presenting duties after he was arrested for drink-driving in March 2018, while he and Dec were still hosting Saturday Night Takeaway.

McPartlin told police he was ‘ashamed and mortified’ after crashing his car while drink-driving with his mother in the passenger seat.

His new licence was issued in July 2019, MailOnline understands.

Ant’s £86,000 fine eclipsed the £54,000 imposed on footballer Yaya Toure for the same offence in 2016, reported at the time to be the biggest sanction of its kind in the UK.

The 20-month ban always had the option of a five-month reduction if Ant completed the referral programme, which he has now completed.

Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway continues on Saturday night at 7pm on ITV.
