Ray J says he is working on his relationship with wife Princess Love

They’ve been having a tough time in their marriage and it’s all been aired out in public.

On Wednesday, rapper Ray J appeared on chat show The Talk with his sister, singer Brandy, and one of the main subjects of conversation was Ray’s relationship with is wife Princess Love, which he termed as ‘really rocky’.

The pair have been dealing with marriage woes ever since Princess, 35, made public claims that her husband, 39, left her while pregnant in Las Vegas, Nevada last November to go to a strip club.

‘It’s hot in the kitchen,’ Ray said on the show of his marriage.

‘I watched a little bit of the conversation that we had and I’m still bothered just by where we are, but God is working everything through. And we are trying to address the situation, you know what I’m saying, and try to become a solution to the problem.’

The ‘conversation’ the rapper is referring to is the title of his upcoming 4-part Zeus special, premiering March 15th, in which he and Princess having a no-hold-barred face-to-face talk about their issues, with no involvement from a third party, producers or therapists.

‘It’s a really rocky, bumpy road and we’re trying to figure it out,’ Ray J continued.

‘But even through this process, I feel like a lot of people can relate to it, because everybody has something that they’re maybe going through in their relationships.

‘So you can watch this and see how we are together,’ he added. ‘Hopefully, it can show somebody else how to be better, how to listen more.’

As for Brandy, she admitted to having a ‘soft spot’ for her younger brother, and how it is ‘difficult’ for her to see his personal life put so far out into the public domain.

‘I just feel some things should be dealt in private, so it won’t be a lot of people in his comments and business and Princess’s business,’ the Boy Is Mine songstress said.

‘I think that everybody doesn’t have to have a say in what is going on in your life.’

Eventually, the chat veered toward Ray’s uber-famous ex-girlfriend Kim Kardashian, who recently landed in hot water yet again after getting accused of cultural appropriation for sporting braids to the Yeezy show at Paris Fashion Week along with her eldest daughter North.

For their part, both Ray J and Brandy came to the reality star’s defense.

‘I don’t think that she’s guilty,’ Brandy chimed in. ‘I think it’s reaching a little bit. I mean, it’s great, I love braids. I think everybody should have braids, but I think we’re going too far with that with her.’

Through some obvious laughter, Ray was finally able to share his opinion, as well.

‘Here’s what I think. I got nothing but respect. I just think that, if you are paying homage to another culture by rocking the braids, I think it’s a compliment,’ he offered.
