‘We don’t even discuss it’: Benidorm star Julie Graham, 54, brands the 16-year age gap with her husband Davy Crocket, 38, ‘irrelevant’

She tied the knot with her toyboy lover back in October last year, four years after her first husband took his own life.

And Julie Graham has told how the 16-year age gap between her and husband Davy Crocket is ‘irrelevant’ during an interview on Thursday’s Lorraine.

The 54-year-old Benidorm star opened up about her romance with Belgian Davy, 38, and revealed they ‘don’t even discuss’ the age difference.

Unimportant: Julie Graham has told how the 16-year age gap between her and husband Davy Crocket is ‘irrelevant’ during an interview on Thursday’s Lorraine

She explained: ‘It’s irrelevant, completely and utterly irrelevant, we don’t even discuss it.’

The actress first met her now husband in Benidorm where he worked as a skydiving instructor.

And Julie admitted that Davy’s romantic beach proposal didn’t go quite as planned.

She said: ‘He wrote ‘will you marry me?’ on the beach in pebbles with the girls, and forgot there was a tide!’

As Lorraine giggled away, Julie added that there was only a few pebbles left but it certainly was the thought that counted amid his romantic gesture.

The Doctor Who actress also revealed Davy asked Julie’s two daughters for permission before propping the question.

‘I couldn’t have a marriage without their permission and Davy asked them, he didn’t ask me’ she explained.

She continued: ‘When we were on holiday in Lanzarote and he took the girls aside and said, ‘I’m gonna ask your mum to marry me, but I’m not going to do it unless I have your blessing.’
