Vanderpump Rules: Raquel Leviss after receiving nasty texts from James Kennedy issues ultimatum

Raquel Leviss tearfully issued an ultimatum to boyfriend James Kennedy after receiving nasty texts from him on Tuesday’s episode of Vanderpump Rules.

The 25-year-old SUR server confronted English DJ James, 28, at their apartment after he drunkenly rage-texted her inappropriate messages.

‘I’m not gonna pretend like it didn’t happen to make you feel better,’ Raquel told him.

‘Listen, I say a lot of things to people when I’m drunk. I’m never mean to you when I’m sober, am I?,’ James countered.

Raquel complained that he does giver her a ‘tone’ and James played the British card. 

‘That’s my personality, babe. I’m from England. I get a tone. That’s just who I am. If you don’t love me for who I am, then buh-bye,’ James told her.

‘You’re embarrassed by your actions, and you should be,’ Raquel told him emphatically.

James told her to ‘cut it out’ or he would leave and said he was ‘over’ the conversation after Raquel said he needed to stop drinking.

‘I’m like the one person who stands by him through everything and gives him so many chances. And that hurts,’ Raquel said crying in a confessional.

James walked out, but returned a short time later.

He told Raquel that he was sorry.

‘I know you’re sorry, but like I’m not going to blame myself for your actions,’ Raquel bluntly told him.

‘I’m not gonna be embarrassed for you. I’ve been letting you kind of circle into drinking, not drinking, and then getting back to normal again and being good.

‘I think about the way that you talk to me when you’re drunk. It scares me because if we have kids together, I don’t want to put them in any situation relatively close to that. You understand? And if you can’t get your s*** together, then we will break up,’ she declared.

‘Ok,’ James said.

Raquel said she would attend Al-Anon meetings to support him and James said he also would go to a meeting and promised to stop drinking.

‘There’s something about this time, the way she’s looking at me, the way she’s so upset. I truly feel like I need to take it seriously before she just walks out the door and then I’m sitting there wondering what the hell happened,’ James said in a confessional.

He beckoned her over and Raquel climbed into his lap and started crying as James kissed her.

‘If you’re gonna drink, you’re gonna drink. I can’t stop you from doing that anymore,’ Raquel said tearfully during the season eight episode titled If You’re Going To Drink, I Can’t Stop You.

The episode opened with Stassi Schroeder, 31, uncharacteristically downplaying her birthday.

‘This year, I’m like a newly hatched baby dragon. Next year, I feel like I’ll be right back into full grown dragon mode like reigning terror and fire,’ the Game Of Thrones fan said in a confessional.

Lisa Vanderpump, 59, meanwhile was mourning the sudden death of her mother Jean and was visited by her friend Nathalie. 

Nathalie brought Lisa framed photos of her and her mother who died of deep vein thrombosis.

Lisa was headed to London for the services and was going to miss the wedding of Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright.

Raquel was earlier shown telling Sur employees Danica Dow and Dayna Kathan about getting drunk over the weekend and receiving the hateful texts from James.

‘I left my phone in my purse in the kitchen, passed out in bed, then woke up to a million texts from James like, ”whore, slut”,’ Raquel revealed.

Dayna told her that she deserved better treatment and a producer urged Raquel to read some of the texts.

‘F*** you. Where are you? I’m breaking up with you. Whore. Slut. Whore. F*** you,’ Raquel read out loud.

‘It makes me literally want to throw up,’ she added.

Ariana Madix, 34, who shares the same June 24th birthday with Stassi, was getting ready for her birthday party. 

She was in a tough spot as her boyfriend Tom Sandoval, 36, had been stripped of his best man title and disinvited to Jax’s wedding, while she was a member of the bridal party. 

Ariana had been dealing with depression but after a deep sleep felt better and rallied with her friends.

She was greeted with big hugs from her friends including Danica and new Sur server Charli Burnett.

Ariana also was supported by her brother Jeremy who celebrated with her. 

Brittany at the party told Sandoval that she was over their argument and Jax allowed him back into his wedding party as best man.

Jax in a confessional admitted that he wasn’t over it, but let Sandoval back in to quiet everyone up.

Ariana was relieved that Sandoval would be joining her at the Kentucky wedding and hugged Brittany. 

Raquel at the birthday party scolded James for wanting to leave so early and reminded him that they needed to talk about his ‘completely inappropriate’ texts.

‘Had you just answered your phone, I wouldn’t have been so triggered,’ James replied.

He added in a confessional: ‘When Raquel doesn’t answer, I feel like she’s out there doing things I used to do. You’re in Hollywood, guys are talking to you. Like, those kinds of girls don’t get left alone at parties’.

Ariana after her party took Raquel out back to speak with her about James berating her.

She asked to read the texts and Raquel obliged.

‘I hate you. I’m breaking up with you. I would never marry you,’ Ariana read aloud.

‘It’s only a matter of time before words like that start to become part of what you think and believe. …I just don’t want to see you sacrifice your own self-worth to try to help him if he’s not helping himself,’ she told Raquel.

Raquel in a confessional shared her feelings, saying, ‘No girl goes into a relationship thinking they’re going to be verbally abused. It’s scary to me. I don’t ever want to go through this again.’

‘Basically, this is like, this is the last straw, you know?,’ Raquel told Ariana.

The crew headed together to Kentucky for pre-wedding festivities.

Lala Kent, 30, was shamed for daring to wear a white dress to the rehearsal dinner.

Brittany embraced her castle wedding venue and shouted from a balcony, ‘I’m getting married’ while Jax insisted that Tom Schwartz be placed in front of Sandoval.
