Luke Jacobz films Home And Away scenes as he reprises his role as police officer Angelo Rosetta

Luke Jacobz has returned to the set of Home And Away after almost a decade away from the long-running soap.

The actor, 39, was filming scenes on Palm Beach last month, ready to bring his character – police officer Angelo Rosetta – back to the life.

Instead of boardshorts and a surfboard, he donned a sharp-looking suit and carried a coffee with a paper bag.

After walking up the sandy hill – he met up with Jasmine Delaney (played by Sam Frost) and Willow Harris (played by Sarah Roberts).

Sam was dressed in a green nurse’s uniform with a black skirt, she patiently waited by a wooden fence to be called to the scene.

Sarah was also dressed in character, wearing Willow’s red gym trainer uniform with black shorts.

Also spotted on the set was Tim Franklin, who plays Senior Constable Colby Thorne, who was dressed in a pair of colourful boardshorts. 

During what appeared to be a break in filming, Luke was animated as he talked with members of the crew and co-stars Sam and Sarah. 

Luke last appeared on Home And Away back in 2011.

His return to comes after he revealed to The Sunday Telegraph that Channel Seven producers contacted him in January asking him to reprise his role. 

‘[Channel Seven executives] called me in and said ‘How do you feel about Angelo coming back to the bay?” said the actor. 

‘I said “very good” and almost straight away it was “ok, let’s get a haircut, a wardrobe fitting and look at some scripts,” he enthused.

While it’s not known how long he will star on the show this time round, Luke revealed that Angelo will stick around the Bay for ‘a good few months.’

‘[Channel Seven producers] haven’t said to me I’m coming in to die,’ he said. 

Luke also told What’s On TV he was excited to catch up with the old cast and meeting the new cast.

The publication said: ‘It’s been almost a decade since his character Angelo Rosetta left the Bay, and now he’s back on the police force with everything to prove.’
