Piers Morgan looked nauseated as he chowed down on jellied eels for breakfast in a hilarious segment on Tuesday’s episode of Good Morning Britain.

The presenter, 54, oozed confidence as he asked for the delicacies live on air, proclaiming ‘Come on, we’ve got to support the East End!’

As a horrified Susanna Reid, 49, watched on, Piers gleefully tucked into the jellied treat.

Oh dear: Piers Morgan looked nauseated as he chowed down on jellied eels for breakfast in a hilarious segment on Tuesday’s episode of Good Morning Britain

His expression quickly changed from ecstatic to nauseated as the star chewed and looked green around the gills.

Susanna joyfully called out: ‘Yeah you regret that now don’t you Piers Morgan!’

Piers later shared a montage of unimpressed stills from the show, captioned: ‘Memo to self: don’t eat jellied eels at 7.30am on live TV.’

The hilarious moment comes after Piers threatened to fire Andi Peters in a hilarious stand-off during Monday’s episode of Good Morning Britain.

The co-stars came to blows during a lighthearted chat about National Pie Week, leaving Susanna despairing.

Introducing the segment, cheeky Andi, 49, looked at Piers as he quipped: ‘This week is National Pie Week. We all eat about 36 pies a year. I wonder who’s eaten all the pies in this studio?’

As Piers stared stony-faced at Andi, the presenter instructed the camera to zoom in on the host, laughing: ‘Look at that face, look at that face.’

Reacting in mock horror, Piers hit back: ‘Do you know what, mate, fat shaming is really not acceptable anymore in the workplace.

‘You were talking the other day and had your own complaints about the way workplaces operate. I don’t like being fat shamed by you, okay?

He continued: ‘It triggers my anxiety, it’s wrong, you fill me with self-loathing.

‘Everything about what he just did is wrong. It’s offensive, wrong and I really feel you should apologise.’

Jumping in, Susanna mentioned: ‘That’s not what he says off air!’

But Piers refused to back down, insisting it was ‘completely unacceptable’, as Andi protested: ‘It was jest…or you could say bants.’

Determined to have the last word, Piers quipped: ‘Or you could say… fired!’

Last year, Piers was left stunned when Lorraine Kelly made a playful jab at his weight loss.

The broadcaster couldn’t believe his ears as the TV presenter, 60, joked that he had been ‘quite fat’ before, but wasn’t ‘anymore’.

Lorraine decided to make the quip after he claimed that calling someone fat or obese would motivate them to lose weight.

After his remarks, she joked: ‘You’ve been very naughty today. You’re not as fat as you used to be though remember you were quite fat you’re not anymore!’
