Kate Middleton dazzles in a glittering green gown at the Guinness Storehouse

Kate Middleton put on a dazzling display as she joined Prince William for an evening reception at the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin tonight.

The Duchess of Cambridge, 38, wore a £1,595 glittering emerald gown by trendy designer The Vampire’s Wife and a pair of £525 Manolo Blahnik heels for the first evening reception of the historic three-day visit to the country.

The royal paired the shimmering green gown with a gold clutch bag and a pair of dangling gold earrings.

The Duchess has excelled at diplomatic dressing today, having earlier stepped out in a full green outfit as she arrived for her first official visit to the Republic of Ireland.

The natural beauty wore her hair in her usual bouncy blow dry, and kept her make up natural for the occasion.

The glittering midi dress features a flirty feminine peplum helmline, as well as softly gathered self ruffles on the sleeves.

The Vampire’s Wife is much loved by celebrities and fellow royals, including Princess Beatrice, 31, who has opted for the designer on several occasions.

Kate’s choice is remarkably similar to a gown worn by Beatrice for an event in London in October.

The brand has also developed a cult following, with celebrity fans including Alexa Chung, Sienna Miller, Cate Blanchett and Keira Knightley.

It’s famed for pretty prairie dresses infused with a dose of gothic glam, which are frequently spotted on red carpets.

Earlier today, the couple flew to Dublin Airport on a commercial Aer Lingus flight with dozens of residents returning home, business travellers and tourists.

They were welcomed to Ireland today by President Michael D Higgins and his wife Sabina, who said: ‘Delighted to welcome you. You’ve had lots of exciting things happening in your family.’

William and Kate are expected to sample a pint of Guinness while at the reception as they meet leading figures from Irish life.

The couple are due to meet a range of people from the creative arts, sport, business and charity sectors at the Gravity Bar in the Guinness Storehouse – a major visitor attraction in the Irish capital telling the story of the famous drink.

During the first day of their tour the Cambridges also laid a wreath at the Garden of Remembrance.

The quiet open space is dedicated to those who rose up against British rule in 1916 and gave their lives for Irish independence.

The duchess looked stylish in an emerald green Catherine Walker coat, an Alessandra Rich dress and £17,300 Asprey London daisy heritage earrings, as she and William walked through the grounds of the Aras an Uachtarain while joking and smiling with their hosts.

They will return to the UK on Friday, meaning they will miss Prince Harry’s Endeavour Fund Awards in London, which the Duke of Sussex will be attending with Meghan Markle.

William attended the inaugural ceremony in 2017 but has not been for several years.
