Channel Nine political reporter Airlie Walsh enjoyed a relaxing day out at Sydney’s Bondi Beach on Sunday.

The television journalist slipped into a black bikini while enjoying a dip in the ocean at the tourist hotspot.

Airlie took advantage of the unseasonably warm autumn weather as she soaked up the sun in her skimpy swimwear.

Airlie looked cheerful during her solo swim, before returning to her towel on the beach to dry off.

She slicked back her wet hair and wore a pair of stylish white sunglasses.

Taking to Instagram to share a selfie on the day, she wrote: ‘Sunday sans makeup. With all pigmentation, rosacea and freckles on display.’

Channel Nine viewers will be familiar with Airlie, who’s had more than a decade of on-screen experience with the network.

She began on Weekend Today in 2010, before joining the Nine News team in 2013.

In 2014, Airlie was one of two journalists broadcasting live from the CBD as police stormed the Lindt Café during the Sydney siege.

In 2019, she secured a one-on-one interview with Prime Minister Scott Morrison on Christmas Island.

Airlie was a guest at fellow Nine journalist Jayne Azzopardi’s baby shower in January. 

‘It was a no to storks, but a yes to scones,’ she captioned an Instagram photo from the event. 

She had also attended Sylvia Jeffrey’s baby shower the previous month.
