Paris Fashion Week: Kaia Gerber joins a chic Irina Shayk on the runway for Valentino’s show

Thanks to their enviable standing among the world’s top models, they’re nearing the end of a particularly busy month on the runways at international fashion weeks.

And Kaia Gerber, 18, and Irina Shayk, 34, were seen reporting for duty once again on Sunday evening, when they took to the catwalk for Valentino’s A/W 20/21 show at Paris Fashion Week.

California native Kaia sparkled as she stepped out in a blue sequinned top, which featured a cape over the arms and was teamed with black loose-fitting trousers and a pair of heavy duty boots.

Wearing her chestnut brown tresses in a sleek side-swept style with a parting, the daughter of supermodel Cindy Crawford sported a light palette of makeup, which featured a variety of soft, natural tones. 

Attention to detail was also paid to her accessories, as she stepped out wearing dazzling blue stud earrings, which she teamed with a large gold statement necklace, which itself boasted embedded blue jewels.

Meanwhile, Russian beauty Irina cut a chic figure as she sauntered down the runway in a stunning black gown, which featured a plunging neckline, broad sleeves, and fishtail hemline.

Also standing tall in a pair of hunky boots, the mother-of-one wore her brunette tresses in a glossy sleek ponytail, while her mismatched earrings consisted of a sparkling blue stud and a large jewelled chandelier.

Further glamming up her eye-catching look, the star let her natural beauty shine through with minimal makeup, while she toted a black leather handbag with a bow-style feature on the clasp.

Among the well-heeled guests at the hot ticket show were a number of celebrities, including Angela Bassett, Alexa Chung, Izabel Goulart, Iris Law, Janelle Monae, Olivia Palermo, and Pixie Geldof.

Before hitting Paris, Kaia was in Milan for Fashion Week where she walked for brands including Prada, Fendi, Moschino and Max Mara. 

And just recently in Paris she led a slew of models at the Loewe show in front of a star-studded audience including Gwendoline Christie on Friday morning. 

At the show, the model looked typically chic in a midnight blue ruched dress which featured a bold studded panel teamed with a pair of patent black shoes, decorated with a silver letter L on the front. 

And on Thursday, the model – who is deemed one of the elite – joined  Gigi Hadid for Chloé’s Autumn/ Winter 2020/ 2021 showcase, where she demanded attention in a variety of fashionable pieces. 

Despite being one of the most in demand models, the daughter of former supermodel Cindy Crawford, admitted she was ‘sceptical’ about becoming a model at first. 

She  also said that when her career started to take off, she would refuse ‘special treatment’ because of her family connections.
