‘Move before I belt you’: Furious driver hurls foul-mouthed abuse at binmen after their lorry blocks the road

  • Woman wearing a multi-coloured hat and fluffy coat pulls up right behind a lorry
  • She then launches into her tirade through the window of her silver Audi

This is the shocking moment that a driver launches into a furious tirade against binmen who were temporarily blocking the road.

Footage of the 30-minute stand-off was recorded by an onlooker on Gilroy Road in West Kirby, Merseyside, on Tuesday.

The unnamed woman begins her foul-mouthed rant after pulling up right behind the lorry in an attempt to stop the council staff from loading the bins.

The video was recorded by Aaron Casey-Sloan, 22, who had been in a car with his two young children when he witnessed the woman’s actions.

He said that the bin lorry was stopped close to a junction when the woman, who was wearing a multi-coloured hat and fluffy coat, started verbally abusing staff.

In the clip, she can be heard shouting from the window of her silver Audi: ‘That’s my point, that’s my point.

‘You couldn’t just go round there could you. Could he have gone round that corner?’

One of the bin men tries to reason with her and says: ‘But there was a bin there. Could you not just have waited?’

But the woman is undeterred and continues: ‘Could he have gone round that corner? Yes, he f***ing could.

‘You four-eyed f***. F***ing move before I belt you.’

The council worker replies and says: ‘Go on then.’

She says: ‘Don’t f***ing tempt me. Don’t tempt me. These already think I’m high, I’m not high.’

She looks directly toward the camera before adding: ‘You can record it if you want, I don’t give a f***.’

The unnamed woman raises her middle finger as Mr Casey-Sloan says he will be sending the video to the police.

She continues to complain about the positioning of the van before the lorry eventually moves and she accelerates forward.

She slows down once again to shout some final remarks before Mr Casey-Sloan shouts: ‘Come on, go! Come on.’

Speaking after the incident, Mr Casey-Sloan said: ‘It was about 11.45am. I was in my car and I had my two kids in the back and I wondered what was going on because I saw the lorry and one of the binmen started taking pictures of the [Audi].

‘I went up and had a look what was going on and I was confronted with this woman.

‘I would say [the incident] lasted about half an hour.

‘I got out to film it because I was sat in the car for five or 10 minutes and I could hear this shouting so I went over with my phone.’

He added: ‘They are just trying to do their jobs properly.’

It is understood that the incident was not reported to police.

Wirral Council has been contacted for comment.
