‘Criminally hot’ female offenders pose in mugshots

‘Hot Felon’ Jeremy Meeks built a career for himself after his famed mugshot went viral for his chiseled good looks.

Now there’s a whole Instagram and Twitter account entitled ‘Mugshawtys’ dedicated to documenting attractive felon fatales that boasts nearly 200,000 followers.

The page posts mugshots of female offenders with model-like good looks wearing expertly applied make-up, posing with perfect pouts, or in some cases smiling.

Some of the women on the page have been arrested for marijuana possession, DUI, and criminal trespassing.

The account is run by 24-year-old California electrician Josh Jeffrey, who says that his page is mostly submission based.

‘A lot of people send me their own mugshots — I get probably 15 to 20 plus [direct messages] a day of different ones,’ he said to the New York Post. ‘A lot of what I post is submissions’.

Every day Jeffrey posts a mugshot and along with it the charge they were booked for.

Hilarious comments on the photos include messages like ‘I’m gonna bail her out’,  ‘she stole my heart’, ‘free her now!!’ and ‘she’s a cutie let her go’.

While the page is lighthearted, Jeffrey says if a person finds their picture on the website and asks to have it taken down, he always complies.

‘If there’s anybody that doesn’t want their picture on there, I take it down with no questions asked,’ he said. ‘I don’t put information out there if the [women] don’t want it’.

But Jeffrey has his fair share of haters.

‘I get random people all the time saying’ “oh, this isn’t right.” I can see where they’re coming from,’ he said.

He added that he makes no money off running ‘Mugshawtys’ and he’s even looked into charities that could benefit people in the criminal justice system if it ever does.

Jeffrey says that after running the page since 2016, he’s become critical of the American criminal justice system.

‘Our system is a joke,’ pointing out how he often sees women charged with felonies for minor offenses.

He says he frequently sees women arrested in relation to marijuana.

‘I think the US is the only country where there’s a public mugshot database,’ he said. ‘I’ve posted some international mugshots, too, but every one of those the person sent me.’
