A mother told how she sent her four-year-old son to school with his packed lunch on kebab sticks, claiming it solved his fussy eating.

The unnamed Australian mother kicked off a discussion when she shared a photo of her son’s lunch box to Facebook group Lunchbox Mums, showing strawberries, wraps and veggies all presented on individual kebab sticks.

Other parents responded with their own pictures, including one mother who revealed she sent her child off to school with skewered sandwiches.

However they came under fire from other parents who questioned whether the kebab sticks were safe, saying they could be used to ‘stab’ other children.
